Twisted Party Patch Notes
The playtest post is still the documented changelog
Vampire Squid’s official Steam news post from 22 July 2026 is titled “The patch is here!” That playtest changelog is the patch list this wiki will quote until a numbered post-launch note exists. As of 27 August 2026 — two days after the 25 August launch — there is no 1.0.1 / 1.0.2 catalogue on Steam news besides launch-week stability work. Do not trust pages that invented an August 20, 2025 hotfix with NVIDIA 530 driver bullets.
22 July 2026 — “The patch is here!”
These items are the documented official list:
- Fixed black screen if a player disconnected during match initialisation
- Matches correctly cancelled and restarted if too many players leave
- Waiting for player actions (for example push force in Car Mode) is interrupted on disconnect — the match no longer freezes
- Scene loading no longer freezes if connection is lost while changing locations
- Fixed a crash when the previous mini-game winner left the lobby before the next game began
- Music mini-game: repeated clicks after an error or cancelling an arrow no longer deduct extra attempts
- Tweaks to emotes, death logic in Car Mode, winner screens, and the tutorial
- Lobby initial behaviour and state synchronisation
That is the whole paper trail. It maps cleanly onto launch-week complaints: init black screens, ghost lobbies after leavers, Bumper Car hangs, capsule/load freezes, podium quits, Music Hero mash punishment.
How to read each line in play
Black screen on init — someone dropped as the match started. Recreate. Fix Connection.
Too many leave — the remaining group should get a cancel/restart, not a frozen eight-player HUD.
Car Mode push wait — Bumper Car is turn-based. The game waits on force. A disconnect used to freeze everyone; the patch interrupts that wait.
Changing locations — voting capsule and next wheel map. A lost connection mid-load should not freeze the scene forever.
Winner left — stay for Partyman dances; leaving on the podium used to crash the room.
Music clicks — Music Hero no longer taxes extra attempts for panic clicks after a miss.
Emotes / death logic / tutorial / lobby sync — bundled polish. Not a new mini-game. Not a vote-the-wheel feature.
Launch week (25 August 2026 onward)
The launch announcement restated deadly mini-games, skins from wins, no allies, 10% off, and the trailer. Stability work during launch week is real player experience; it is not a second numbered changelog we can paste. When Steam news publishes “Patch 1.0.1” with bullets, this page will add a dated section under the July list, not replace it.
Players still request a custom mini-game vote. That request is not in the July notes. Hosts should keep saying no when asked if they missed a settings tab.
Reporting
Use Steam’s app 4332910 hub, the Discord, or mike.raw915@gmail.com. Include OS (Windows 10 vs macOS 15 Apple Silicon), whether the fail was init, location load, or Car Mode wait, and whether too many people had already left.
Until a new official post exists, the July list is the patch notes. Everything else is inference. This page would rather be short and true than long and dated 2025.
Practical mapping for hosts: if the room blacks out at countdown, recreate the code. If Car Mode waits forever after a drop, recreate. If a location never loads, recreate. If Music Hero still double-charges a miss, verify files and clip it for Discord. None of those steps add a sixth wheel game. None of them unlock a host playlist. The 22 July list is disconnect and input hygiene, which is why How to Play still matters more than waiting on a fictional 1.0.1. Linux remains unlisted. Intel Macs remain unlisted. Report new bugs with OS and GPU, not with names of rounds that are not on the Mini-Games Hub.
